By using HiyoTalk, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who can use HiyoTalk
You must be 18 years or older. HiyoTalk is a place to practice English by talking with other people.
The rules
- Be kind and respectful.
- No insults, harassment, threats, hate speech, or sexual content.
- Don't share personal information: yours or anyone else's (phone numbers, addresses, social media accounts).
- No spam, scams, advertising, or illegal activity.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't try to get around a ban.
Safety and moderation
- An automatic filter hides phone numbers, links, some social media accounts and offensive words. It isn't perfect.
- You can report anyone. People reported by 5 different people are banned for 24 hours.
- We may limit, ban or delete accounts that break these rules, without notice.
Talking with strangers
You chat with people you don't know. We can't check who they are or control what they say. Use common sense: never send money, never share private information, and leave any chat that makes you uncomfortable (press "Next" or "Report").
Your account
You are responsible for your nickname and what you say. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
The service
HiyoTalk is provided "as is". It may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for what other users say or do, or for any loss caused by using the service.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use HiyoTalk means you accept the new terms.
